Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StrideLog mobile application ("App," "Service," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using StrideLog, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

License to Use

Grant of License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and install the App on your personal iOS device
• Use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes
• Access and use the App's features and functionalities

License Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Rent, lease, lend, sell, or redistribute the App
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the App
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's code or systems

User Content

Your Data

All data you create within the App (races, workouts, shoes, photos, etc.) remains your property. You retain all rights to your content.

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• You are responsible for backing up your data via iOS backups
• We are not liable for any loss of data
• You control when and how your data is deleted

Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of data you enter into the App
• Photos you attach to race records
• Compliance with applicable laws regarding your content

Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices.

• We do not collect or transmit your personal information
• You have complete control over your data

App Features and Services

Features Provided "As Is"

StrideLog provides the following features:

• Race tracking with photos and weather data
• Couch to 5K training program
• Shoe mileage tracking
• Workout logging
• Dashboard and statistics

These features are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services including:

• Apple WeatherKit: For weather data (subject to Apple's terms)
• Apple MapKit: For location display (subject to Apple's terms)

These services are subject to their respective terms and conditions.

Service Changes

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time
• Update the App with new features or improvements
• Change these Terms as needed

We will notify users of significant changes through app updates.

Disclaimers

Health and Fitness Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: StrideLog is a tracking and training tool, not medical advice.

• Consult a physician before starting any exercise program
• The App is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition
• You use the App's training programs at your own risk
• We are not responsible for any injuries or health issues

Accuracy Disclaimer

While we strive for accuracy:

• Weather data is provided by third parties and may not be accurate
• Training programs are general guidelines, not personalized coaching
• Statistics and calculations are based on data you provide
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of any information in the App

No Warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
• THIS INCLUDES DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
• OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP (IF ANY)
• SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY, SO THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StrideLog and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Any content you create or upload

Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use StrideLog. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App.

Apple App Store Terms

Your use of StrideLog is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). In case of conflict between these Terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA shall prevail.

You acknowledge that:

• These Terms are between you and StrideLog, not Apple
• Apple is not responsible for the App or its content
• Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App, including all intellectual property rights, are and will remain the exclusive property of StrideLog and its licensors.

This includes:

• App source code and design
• StrideLog name, logo, and branding
• App features and functionality
• Documentation and materials

Trademarks

StrideLog and all related logos are trademarks. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

Termination

By You

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. This will remove all locally stored data.

By Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately if:

• You violate these Terms
• We discontinue the App
• Required by law or court order

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your license to use the App ends immediately
• You must delete the App from your device
• Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

Governing Law and Disputes

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

For any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App:

• First, contact us at [email protected] to seek resolution
• If unresolved, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration
• You waive any right to participate in class-action lawsuits

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and StrideLog regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Posting the new Terms on this page
• Providing in-app notification for significant changes

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
